Typical website integration

How do we integrate with your website?

Below we show you one example of how to integrate the Ebook Stamper on-demand stamping service with your existing website.

Payment confirmation page setup

Typically once your customer has paid for your ebook via your payment provider (Paypal, Clickbank) they are taken to a payment confirmation page.

They will then typically click on a continue button or link to go back to your website to download the ebook. However this is where the integration with Ebook Stamper begins. Instead of linking directly to your website we provide a URL on our servers for you to use.

You typically have to specify this URL in your payment provider thank you page configuration.

Ebook Stamper URL encoder and redirector

Behind the scenes your customers browser is now directed to a URL on the Ebook Stamper servers. Here we read the name and email parameters sent by your payment provider and use them to create an MD5 hash code.

We then automatically redirect the customers browser to a download page on your website passing the original name and email parameters along with the new MD5 hash code. The actual URL will look something like this.

https://www.burn-fat-now.com/vjjxnv78/thankyou.php?&cname=John+Doe&cemail=john.doe%40gmail.com&hash=55496b94579869

The importance of the MD5 hash code is that it prevents the customer from changing the name and email parameters in the URL before they are used in the stamp.

Protected ebook download link

Your standard ebook download thank you page now contains a script (usually php) that wraps the download link for your ebook.

The script checks the name and email parameters along with the MD5 hash code. If the customer tries to modify the name or email parameter then the download link is NOT shown.

The download link only shows if the name and email parameter remain unchanged from what was entered by the customer at the time of payment.

Finally the stamped PDF ebook

When your customer clicks on the download ebook link they will download your ebook from the Ebook Stamper servers. The ebook will be automatically stamped with the customers name and email address and any security setting you configured such as password protection will be added too.

The actual link to download the ebook is also protected by another MD5 hash code. This again stops the customer from changing the name or email address parameters.

The customer can therefore only ever download the ebook using the name and email address that they entered at the time of payment.
